Ison Harrison have been engaged by a number of Clients to develop a Buy & Build strategy for the strategic acquisition of multiple businesses as part of the growth plans of the Client.
Case Study
The team at Ison Harrison have several clients who instruct Ison Harrison regularly as part of the Client’s ‘Buy & Build’ strategy. This strategy is often adopted by Entrepreneurs to buy several businesses within a sector to create a group. Once the Client has acquired sufficient number of businesses within the Group structure, the Client may look to sell the Group as a collective, ordinarily at a higher multiple by virtue of the higher turnover and larger client base.
Examples of sectors in which Ison Harrison has advised on such matters include:
a) One Client who has now acquired over 5 childcare nurseries in different locations;
b) One Client who has acquired multiple children’s care homes and related services in different locations
c) One Client who has acquired multiple haulage businesses in different locations.
